I was in Dallas this last week, sitting outside the American Airlines Admirals Club lounge at 4:20 AM, and none of the coffee shops were open yet—perfect time to film a Coffee Chat while I wait.
Let’s take a minute and talk AI. I’m a daily generative AI user, and this got me wondering:
How many people use AI?
Grab your coffee as I share the mid-2025 stats on AI usage for ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Grok, along with a callout on GenZ usage.
For me, I use AI both for work at NeoCurrency and for personal tasks. According to a Deloitte survey, nearly half of AI‑familiar people use it for personal activities, while about a quarter use it at work. However, another poll finds around 40% of U.S. adults have used AI for work tasks (at least occasionally), while ~60% use it for search/info or personal tasks.
With the airport downtime, I used it to create my first AI image. It appears at the end of the video - can you name who the people are and what the theme is? 😎
☕️ Till next week! —Eric
