This week, I filmed from Frisson Espresso on 44th Street in the heart of New York City, where I attended the Quirk's Media Market Research Conference at the Javits Center.
Grab your coffee - our topic today: Trends in business travel, with a little fun as we throw in some bleisure and Broadway, too.
Do you travel for business? In this chat, we'll discuss:
Statistics from a 2024 Deloitte survey on the number of business trips US adults take yearly and results from a Hilton survey breaking down business travel globally
The rising trend of “bleisure”: blending business trips with leisure time - a way to add personal experiences to professional commitments.
It’s an essential word because ~40% of business travellers are doing this.
And I’m one of ‘em.
I’m grateful that working at NeoCurrency (and in the gift card and incentive industry as a whole) allows me to travel the world, meet new people, and have the chance to turn a business trip into lifelong memories. This week, between market research obligations with Quirk’s, I caught the Tony-nominated Broadway play “John Proctor is the Villain” at the Booth Theatre — it was fresh, raw, and real. I highly recommend it!
Whether it’s walking the trade show floor or walking into a theater, this week I was reminded how important it is to blend in some bleisure when traveling for business.
Here's to making business trips bleisure trips. ☕
